The most cherished scent in my collection is the Pearl. It was the natural gemstone that I chose to represent one of the most precious moments in my life: the birth of my first daughter, Sophie Rose Annabelle Lee, 16 years ago. She still wears her Pearl fragrance everyday and loves to hear the story about how she inspired this beautiful scent.
The Pearl has been a symbol of unblemished perfection since ancient times and continues to represent purity and innocence. Reflective of the journey of motherhood and creation of new life, I was able to experience and imagine the beauty of the scent before it's creation, similar to the process of pregnancy.
At 8 months into my pregnancy, I was able to envision what Pearl symbolized to me and began the journey of creating a fragrance that would embody the sweet smell of a baby and encompass all of the purity and delight of new life.
The Pearl fragrance was created for women who are sensitive to fragrance and struggle with potent perfumes in general. Pearl is the perfect for a new mother and newborn child due to their sensitivity to smell. Pearl offers a gentle 100% natural, subtle fragrance that is not overpowering, making it the perfect choice for you and your babies first year together!
The fragrance's full round base note accord of meditative Sandalwood and Fresh Musk accented by warm Vanilla and fresh, green Mousse De Chene suggests the innocence and purity that pearls have long represented.
"Oh, how I love Pearl. It's like a warm fuzzy sweater. The sandalwood is dry and soft, but the vanilla sweetens it up just enough giving it a more feminine feel. I find the lasting power of SM oils to be outstanding. It wears close to the skin, yet every time I move my head, or brush my hair I get soft little clouds of scent that surround me and those close to me always seem to compliment."
"Subtle, seductive, elegant and ethereal all at once. I don't know if there is a finer perfume out there - I haven't found it. I've tried all the other Sage Machado fragrances, but this is the only one I truly love."
